This red birch kitchen now perfectly complements the 1915 Arts and Crafts style home in Easthampton, Massachusetts.

The Shaker-style flat panel cabinets were spray-finished by students with shellac sealcoat to add depth and a water-based lacquer topcoat.

A separate pantry cabinet maximizes space with a Rev-a-Shelf storage unit. Other hidden features include a Rev-a-Shelf odorless waste container and pan/lid holder.

Solid maple dovetailed drawer boxes feature Blum undermount soft-close drawer slides.

The student team consisted of (from left to right) Greg Dillard, Ray Richardson and Jim Milo.

Major appliances were relocated to make room for a dishwasher and create a more efficient space. Major construction (including wall removal) was completed by Rainbow Home Improvement.
