We're fortunate to have developed mutually beneficial partnerships with some of the leading names in woodworking manufacturing, trade, and education. A skills training school like ours cannot be an island; we must work closely with others to ensure that we're offering the best possible education, utilizing the most updated curriculum, equipment, and techniques.
Our Focus
To align ourselves with national quality standards by being are an associate member of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI), a national organization that sets these standards for the woodworking industry.
To actively participate in the development of skills standards for the woodworking industry by sitting on the national board of directors for the Woodwork Career Alliance (WCA).
To facilitate relationships between education and industry by joining WoodLINKS USA, an organization of high school and post-secondary schools that partner with industry.
To bring in outside experts, including staff at Atlantic Plywood, Tenryu, Hafele, Blum, and Bessey, to help educate our students on the latest industry products and materials.
To give our students exposure to cabinet shops by visiting a variety of shops and inviting employers in to talk with students about careers in cabinetmaking.
